UPSC ESE Recruitment 2025 has released the UPSC ESE Notification 2025 for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2026. A total of 474 vacancies have been announced across multiple engineering disciplines.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following:

• A degree in Engineering from a recognized University established under an Act of Parliament or State Legislature.

• Passed Sections A & B of the Institution of Engineers (India).

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering from a recognized foreign institution as per Government approval.

• Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).

• Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II & III/Sections A & B of the Aeronautical Society of India.

• Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London (held after Nov 1959).

Additional Qualification for Specific Services:

• Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) – M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics, or Radio Engineering.

• Indian Radio Regulatory Service Group ‘A’ – M.Sc. degree in Physics, Electronics, Telecommunication, or equivalent specialization.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years

• Maximum Age: 30 years (as on 1st January 2026)

• Candidates must be born between 02-01-1996 and 01-01-2005.

• Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government rules.

UPSC ESE Selection Process 2025

The selection process will be conducted in three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

2. Mains Examination (Conventional Type)

3. Personality Test (Interview)

UPSC ESE Salary 2025
