About the Internship Program

The Stripe internship program offers real engineering experience where interns work on impactful, customer-facing projects. You will design, build, test, and ship meaningful software features that improve Stripe products and global commerce.

Each intern gets a dedicated intern manager, works with multiple engineering teams, and presents their work to the organization. Every project is part of the real team roadmap—not sample or demo work.

What You Will Do

  • Build software used in production that impacts Stripe customers

  • Participate in design discussions and provide/receive technical feedback

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and product stakeholders

  • Ask questions, learn systems quickly, and communicate progress effectively

  • Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to real project shipping

Minimum Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Math, or related technical fields

  • Strong fundamentals in computer science

  • Experience with programming through coursework or projects

  • Ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly

  • Experience collaborating on code via internships, open-source, or team projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of university education

  • Understanding of frontend/back-end technologies and how services handle HTTP requests

  • Ability to write high-quality pull requests with proper documentation and test coverage

  • Experience navigating large codebases

  • Strong written communication skills

In-Office Expectations

Interns may be required to work partially or fully from the Stripe Bengaluru office depending on team needs.
