Role Summary
The UI/API Regression Test Engineer role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of web applications and cloud platforms through thorough testing and automation. The selected candidate will work on validating web interfaces and REST APIs while developing automated testing frameworks.
This role involves collaborating with development teams, identifying defects, and improving the overall quality of software releases. It offers valuable exposure to automation testing, cloud platforms, and modern software testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Test and validate Web GUI and REST API functionality to ensure high software quality
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for UI and API testing using Python frameworks
• Perform smoke testing, regression testing, and production validation
• Analyze application architecture to identify design improvements and increase test coverage
• Track and manage defects while coordinating with development teams for fixes
• Maintain and update test plans to support continuous testing cycles
• Build and maintain testing environments for reliable automation execution
• Create technical documentation for quality assurance and support teams
• Investigate customer-reported issues and convert them into regression test cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product stability and performance
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
• BE / ME / MS in Computer Science or related discipline
Experience Required
• Freshers eligible
• Candidates with 0–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing
Additional Requirements
• Understanding of web application testing
• Knowledge of REST API testing
