About the Role

As a News Analyst, you will support Cognizant’s algorithm training and data quality operations. Your responsibilities include analyzing news content, confirming real-time updates, cross-referencing social media sources, and ensuring captions and alerts are accurate.

Who Are You?

  • Someone with a background or interest in English, political/social sciences, copy editing, journalism, communications, or similar fields

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Interested in content analysis, real-time monitoring, and quality assurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and evaluate data in real-time from multiple datasets

  • Identify and investigate errors in news alerts and captions

  • Use social media platforms to verify content

  • Compose and revise captions for web content

  • Follow business rules to ensure data accuracy

  • Conduct quality assurance checks to improve dataset accuracy

  • Stay updated with changes in workflow procedures, rules, and regulations

  • Adapt quickly to shifting project requirements

Required Experience & Skills

  • Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Political/Social Sciences, or similar fields

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Meticulous and goal-oriented mindset

  • Professional-level English proficiency (B2 or above)

  • Additional foreign language skills are a plus
