Job Overview
Role: RME Manager-I
Department: Production, Manufacturing & Engineering
Location: Coimbatore
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities
-
Manage overall building and facilities maintenance including reliability, performance, and cost
-
Oversee maintenance of equipment such as conveyors, trolleys, workstations, labeling machines, PLC and electrical systems
-
Lead and manage third-party technicians and facilities service providers
-
Develop and implement preventive maintenance routines
-
Implement vendor AMCs with defined service levels
-
Coordinate material purchasing with the procurement team
-
Develop spare parts identification systems and maintain optimal inventory levels
-
Analyze equipment performance, availability, and maintenance data
-
Manage daily equipment issues in coordination with operations teams
-
Plan staff schedules, define goals, priorities, and conduct staff training
-
Ensure workplace safety by applying Amazon safety policies and improving site safety standards
-
Maintain building housekeeping and 5S standards
-
Support engineering teams during installation of new equipment
Required Skills & Experience
-
BE / BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Controls & Instrumentation
-
Diploma holders with strong experience may also be considered
-
3–13 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management roles
-
Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems
-
Experience in HVAC, sprinkler systems, and general building equipment
-
Proven experience managing subcontractors and third-party vendors
-
Expertise in troubleshooting, fault finding, and repairs
-
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
-
Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills
-
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in logistics, manufacturing, production, or industrial environments

Previous supervisory or managerial experience
-
Strong experience managing qualified technicians and external service providers
-
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, civil, and control systems maintenance
